Hotel FAQs
Do you allow pets?
Yes, Hotel Lucine allows pets. Guests may register a maximum of 1 dog weighing 40 pounds or less to their reservation. The pet registration fee is $75 for up to three nights and $50 each night after that, which is non-refundable. Pets are allowed in the registered guest room, the roof, and the pergola. Hotel Lucine has a strict policy of not allowing pets inside public spaces (lobby, bar, or restaurant) or within the fenced portion of the pool. You must register your pet with the hotel before your stay by selecting the add-on at booking or by calling the property before the stay. Guests found to have an unregistered pet will be charged a penalty of $500 and may have their stay canceled without a refund. In the event your pet disturbs the other guests and cannot be controlled, you will be asked to leave the property without a refund.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Our standard check-in time at Hotel Lucine is 3:00 PM and standard check-out is 11:00 AM.
What are the pool hours?
The pool at Hotel Lucine is open daily from 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM and is available to guests staying at the property. If you're local to Galveston or staying elsewhere, pool passes can be purchased and are subject to availability for non-guests.
Is parking available at Hotel Lucine?
Hotel Lucine has limited parking available for guests & diners on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking is located in the lot west of the hotel on Avenue M 1/2, along Avenue M and on 10th Street; ADA parking is available adjacent to the entrance on Seawall Blvd. Please note, the hotel is located next to a residential neighborhood, ensure you do not park in a spot requiring a residential permit or you will be towed by the City. Metered public parking is available on Seawall Blvd using the www.paybyphone.com app (multiple days can be purchased).
Is there a charge for parking at Hotel Lucine?
Hotel Lucine offers free parking on-site. Spaces are limited but always complimentary to guests and diners on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our lot is located on the west side of the property.
Is it necessary to register my vehicle or get a parking pass?
If you're utilizing our parking lot at Hotel Lucine, there is no need to register or obtain a parking pass. We will, however, request your license plate number upon checking in if you're staying at the hotel.
Is there a restaurant at Hotel Lucine?
Hotel Lucine offers several options for dining and drinks, including our American Fine-ish Dining establishment, The Fancy, The Den, The Rooftop, and Poolside & Patio options. Additionally, we have a private dining room, The Lanai, available for hosting intimate dinners, off-beat events, and business meetings.
What are the restaurant hours?
Our restaurant, The Fancy, is open Wednesday through Sunday from 5 PM to 10 PM. Additionally, The Den is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night cocktails seven days a week and for brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Our Rooftop also offers light bites and cocktails and is open Sunday through Thursday from 12 PM to 10 PM and Friday and Saturday from 12 PM to 11 PM. Additionally, Poolside & Patio service is available at Hotel Lucine from 8 AM to 10 PM daily.
Do you have adjoining rooms, rollaways, or baby cribs?
Hotel Lucine does not offer adjoining rooms, rollaways, or baby cribs at this time.
Do you have steamers or irons?
Yes, Hotel Lucine offers a limited number of steamers and irons, which are available upon request.
Is there a gym at the hotel?
Hotel Lucine does not have a gym on-site, but keep an eye on our events page for wellness classes held here at our Galveston hotel. We hold yoga, pilates, and sound baths throughout the year. If you're looking for a more traditional gym setting, we recommend Urban Fitness, which is near the hotel.
Is there a happy hour at Hotel Lucine?
Happy hour is available at Hotel Lucine in The Den, The Courtyard, & The Rooftop. Happy hour is all day Monday (12 PM-close), and Tuesday-Friday 3 PM-6 PM. Guests and Galveston locals have access to all of our happy hour options. Check out our Eat & Drink page for additional details and happy hour menus.
Do you have a bellman?
Hotel Lucine does not have bell staff, however our front desk associates are more than happy to assist you with luggage.
Do you rent out beach towels or umbrellas?
Hotel Lucine currently does not offer rentals for beach gear, but there is a rental facility right across the street where you can find umbrellas, towels, and more. We do have complimentary Shabumi Shades available for use during your stay upon request.
Do you have a lost and found?
Yes, all found items turned in at Hotel Lucine are logged into our digital lost and found system, ileftmystuff.com, and can be shipped or set up for pickup through this website. If you left an item, please give us a call at (409) 867-5500 and we'll get the return process started.
Do you have an elevator?
Our historic 2-story property does not have an elevator. Our team is more than happy to assist with luggage, just give us a holler at the front desk!
